A24: nighttime closures Gran Sasso Tunnel towards L’Aquila/Rome

For maintenance needs of an air pipeline of the Gran Sasso National Laboratories, from 22:00 on Feb. 24 and 25 to 06:00 on the following days, the Colledara/San Gabriele – Assergi (Gran Sasso Tunnel) freeway section will be closed to traffic, limited to the westbound carriageway with direction L’Aquila/Rome.

On the days and times indicated above, vehicles coming from Teramo/Giulianova/A14 and heading towards L’Aquila/Rome will have to exit the A24 via the Colledara/San Gabriele junction; please note that the continuation of the route via the SS80 is affected by the presence of several construction sites with possible inconvenience. For vehicles heading to L’Aquila/Rome, coming from Teramo/Giulianova/A14, it is therefore recommended to use the alternative route consisting of the southbound carriageway of the A14 freeway to be taken in the direction of Bari until joining the A25 freeway in the direction of Rome; for journeys heading to L’Aquila, it is recommended to exit the A25 freeway via the Bussi/Popoli junction and continue on the SS153 (Piana di Navelli) in the direction of L’Aquila.
