In order to carry out the demolition with microloads of the Valle Orsara Viaduct in the absence of traffic, from 10 p.m. on Oct. 15 to 7 a.m. the following day, the section of the highway between the L’Aquila Ovest and Tornimparte interchanges will be closed to traffic in both directions.
Consequently, on the day and times indicated above, vehicles coming from Rome/A25 and heading towards L’Aquila/Teramo will be required to exit the A24 freeway at the Tornimparte junction, while all vehicles coming from Teramo and heading towards the A25/Rome will be required to exit the A24 freeway at the L’Aquila Ovest junction; for both routes, it is advisable to use the SS17 and the SP1 Amiternina to Villagrande to and from L’Aquila. In the circumstance, traffic at the hamlet of Villagrande will be managed under an alternating one-way system, using movers, by personnel specially appointed by Strada dei Parchi.
