The fourth edition of the Abruzzo Gran Tour – Circuito di Avezzano, part of the national ASI Circuito Tricolore format promoted by the Automotoclub Storico Italiano with 15 stages throughout Italy, takes place from July 1-6, 2025.
Strada dei Parchi is main sponsor of the 2025 edition, confirming the support already successfully offered in the 2024 edition. The tour, which combines passion for historic motoring and promotion of the area, will see the cars passing on the A25 highway between Pescina and Avezzano on July 4.
In five days, 100 international crews will travel about 1,500 kilometers, passing through mountainous landscapes, historic villages and pristine lakes. The 2025 route is dedicated, on the occasion of the Jubilee Year, to the theme of Abruzzo’s rock churches.
Among the cars featured were authentic symbols of automotive history: the 1924 Alfa Romeo RL TF, built for the Targa Florio and driven by Enzo Ferrari, the 1956 Mercedes 300 SL from a Dutch collector, and Massimo Mortari’s rare Ermini 1100.
Completing the parterre are the historic Alfa Romeo Giulia of the Police and Carabinieri, the Lamborghini Urus of the State Police, and cars from the Guardia di Finanza Museum.
Australia, France, England, Malta, Belgium and the United States will also be represented. Among the most evocative stories is that of an Argentine driver in a 1937 MG, traveling to Italy to rediscover his Abruzzese family roots.
