Closing for 9 days the Tangenziale Est in the direction of San Giovanni / EUR: SdP’s tips for avoiding queues entering Rome

Due to urgent and unpostponable rehabilitation and upgrading works ordered by the Municipality of Rome, from 06:00 am on July 16 until next July 24, for all vehicles coming from A24/A25/GRA, the Tangenziale Est in the direction of San Giovanni /EUR (left ramp) will be closed, with mandatory exit onto Largo Passamonti and detour onto Viale dello Scalo di San Lorenzo, while the ramp in the direction of Tiburtina/Salaria/Nomentana/Foro Italico (right ramp) will remain practicable. On the Urban Penetration Section of the A24 freeway in the vicinity of Tangenziale Est, traffic will be arranged on a single lane.

In view of the significant volumes of traffic that affect this junction of the Capital on a daily basis and in anticipation of possible inconveniences, especially in the morning hours, it is recommended to prefer all alternative routes on the ordinary road system, exiting the A24 freeway to join the Grande Raccordo Anulare or using the Tor Cervara, Viale P. Togliatti, Via F. Fiorentini and Via di Portonaccio junctions, to continue on the ordinary road system depending on the destination of one’s itinerary.

In order to choose the ideal route, based on actual traffic conditions, it is recommended to pay attention to Variable Message Panels, which can be found on the entire highway network , follow live news broadcasts on Isoradio FM 103, Onda Verde and Luceverde podcasts during the trip or visit www.stradadeiparchi.it and to follow us on our X profile @viabilitasdp before hitting the road.

It is recommended that you visit our website to stay up-to-date on Roma Capitale’s work schedule.
