The concessionaire Strada dei Parchi Spa announces that, in order to allow the transit of Exceptional Transport vehicles on the section of freeway between the Avezzano (A25) and L’Aquila Ovest (A24) junctions, from 22:00 on Tuesday, July 9 to 05:00 on Wednesday, July 10, and from 22:00 on Thursday, July 11 to 05:00 on Friday, July 12 p.v, temporary suspension of traffic will be ordered, in both directions, between the Magliano dei Marsi and Avezzano interchanges on the A25 freeway, and between the Tornimparte and L’Aquila Ovest interchanges on the A24 freeway.
In order to minimize inconvenience to traffic, it is specified that the above measures will be limited to the time strictly necessary to allow the safe transit of Exceptional Transports, which will travel appropriately spaced and equipped with technical escorts.
Consequently, from 22:00 to 05:00 on the nights indicated above, vehicles in transit on the A25 coming from A24/Rome and heading towards Pescara/A14 will be obliged to exit the freeway at the Magliano dei Marsi interchange and re-enter the A25 via the Avezzano interchange, while vehicles coming from Pescara and heading towards A24/Rome will be obliged to exit the freeway at the Avezzano interchange and re-enter the A25 via the Magliano dei Marsi interchange; for both of the above-mentioned routes on the ordinary roads it will be possible to use the SS5 Tiburtina/Valeria. On the occasion of the transit at the Avezzano junction of the aforementioned Exceptional Transport vehicles, personnel assigned by SdP will implement brief suspensions of the traffic exiting the tollbooth.
Similarly, vehicles in transit on the A24 coming from Rome/A25 and heading toward L’Aquila/Teramo will be required to exit the highway at the Tornimparte interchange and re-enter the A24 via the L’Aquila Ovest interchange, while all vehicles coming from Teramo and heading toward the A25/Rome will be required to exit the highway at the L’Aquila Ovest interchange and re-enter the A24 via the Tornimparte interchange; for both of the above routes, it is recommended to use the SS17 and the SP1 Amiternina for Villagrande to and from L’Aquila. In the circumstance, traffic in the hamlet of Villagrande will be managed under an alternating one-way system, with the assistance of specially trained “movers” appointed by SdP.
