SdP renews commitment to forest fire prevention

The A24 and A25 highways pass through a large area of inestimable natural value, including National Parks, Regional Parks and Nature Reserves: an important heritage for all, delicate and to be preserved.

The Summer 2024 Forest Fire Campaign fielded by the Civil Defense Department opened last June 15 and will end on October 15. You can help us protect the magnificent territories we pass through with small gestures such as those promoted by the Civil Defense Department’s vademecum with rules to follow to avoid a forest fire:

  • Do not throw away cigarette butts or matches
  • Do not abandon waste: it is a dangerous fuel
  • Do not park on dry grass: hot muffler can cause a fire
  • Do not light fires where it is not allowed and use only equipped spaces
  • If you start a fire, do not move away until it is completely out
  • Do not burn stubble or agricultural residues
  • Comply with municipal ordinances

IF YOU INDICATE A FIRE, YOU MUST CALL 112, 115 or 1515IMMEDIATELY.

Civil Defense reminds that putting out fires is a dangerous job: you must keep your distance to facilitate operations and not take risks.

Strada dei Parchi continues to be at the forefront of the fight against forest fires and renews its commitment in the field with its fleet of special firefighting vehicles, manning the entire route of the A24 and A25 highways.

Abide by the rules and help us write a fairy tale with a happy ending!
