The European Night of Museums returns to illuminate the cultural heritage of Italy and Europe, and Strada dei Parchi accompanies you to discover the wonders between Rome and Abruzzo. An extraordinary abbey a stone’s throw from the A25: San Clemente a Casauria
Among the gems not to be missed is the Abbey of San Clemente a Casauria, located a short distance from the Casauria/Torre dei Passeri exit on the A25. Steeped in a thousand-year history of art and architecture, this abbey, located along the historic Centurelle-Montesecco Tratturo, returns to become a place of meeting and storytelling, There where shepherds sat, to rediscover the soul of a civilization that sang of life, work and love.

L’Aquila: The Museo Nazionale d’Abruzzo (MuNDA) joins the initiative with the evening opening of the Mammoth Hall and the Borgo Rivera venue from 8 to 11 pm. It will be possible to participate in free guided tours at 8:30 pm and 10 pm. The symbolic cost for both entrances is 1 euro.
Pescara: Gabriele D’Annunzio’s Birthplace Museum will extend its opening hours until 11 p.m. (with last entry at 10:30 p.m.), going beyond the 8 p.m. hours, and from 8 p.m. onward people will enter by paying a ticket at the price of 1 euro. Special opening also at the Museum of the Peoples of Abruzzo for the same symbolic price.
Chieti: The National Archaeological Museum of Abruzzo Villa Frigerj, accessible for €1, is offering the guided tour “Objects of Life: a journey between uses and functions,” a journey among ancient artifacts to discover their uses and tell the story of the everyday life of millennia-old civilizations, at a cost of €5. At the Civitella Archaeological Museum, on the other hand, an experimental archaeology workshop is scheduled.
Discovering the enchantment of Campli by night
The May 17, 2025 European Night of Museums offers yet another unmissable opportunity to explore Abruzzo’s cultural heritage: the extraordinary evening opening of the National Archaeological Museum in Campli, a few kilometers from Teramo. The museum will open its doors on Saturday, May 17, at 9 p.m. for an atmospheric nighttime guided tour of its rich collection. This will also be a unique opportunity to discover the picturesque village of Campli in its charming evening guise. The activity is designed for adults and families. The participation fee for the guided tour is 8 euros per person, plus a symbolic fee of 1 euro for museum admission. The European Night of Museums in Rome is an unmissable opportunity to discover the cultural richness of the city. Scheduled events include:
