{"id":79796,"date":"2025-04-02T10:03:35","date_gmt":"2025-04-02T08:03:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.stradadeiparchi.it\/toto-holding-welcomes-nave-vespucci-to-the-port-of-ortona\/"},"modified":"2025-04-10T15:19:22","modified_gmt":"2025-04-10T13:19:22","slug":"toto-holding-welcomes-nave-vespucci-to-the-port-of-ortona","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.stradadeiparchi.it\/en\/toto-holding-welcomes-nave-vespucci-to-the-port-of-ortona\/","title":{"rendered":"Toto Holding welcomes Nave Vespucci to the port of Ortona"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday, April 4, <strong>Nave <\/strong><strong>Vespucci<\/strong> will land in the <strong>port of Ortona<\/strong> and will be welcomed by <strong>Toto Holding<\/strong>, a partner for the Adriatic Abruzzo stop on the <strong>2025 Mediterranean Tour of<\/strong> the <strong>&#8220;most beautiful ship in the world.&#8221;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The flattering definition used for this sailing ship sends the hands of time back to <strong>1962 <\/strong>when in the middle of the Mediterranean Sea Nave Vespucci crossed paths with the American aircraft carrier <strong>USS Independence.<\/strong> The Americans asked for identification and the answer was, &#8220;Nave Scuola Amerigo Vespucci, Marina Militare Italiana,&#8221; so from the aircraft carrier came the response that has remained in history, &#8220;You are the most<em>beautiful<\/em>ship in the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>But it doesn&#8217;t end there because the Americans once again took care of reinforcing the definition a full 60 years after the first one. In <strong>2022 <\/strong>the aircraft carrier <strong>USS George H.W. Bush<\/strong> crossed paths with Nave Vespucci in the Adriatic Sea and the commander radioed to ask if it was the Italian Navy&#8217;s sailing ship Amerigo Vespucci. Upon receiving a yes, the response from the aircraft carrier was, &#8220;<em>After<\/em> 60 years you&#8217;re still the most beautiful ship in the world.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Built in the <strong>Castellammare di Stabia<\/strong> shipyards, the Amerigo Vespucci was launched in <strong>1931<\/strong> and to date is the Navy&#8217;s oldest ship. It is the ship on which the training of Navy cadets takes place, and for more than 30 years it has been developing its commitment to environmental protection through collaborations with<strong>Unicef<\/strong>, <strong>Marevivo<\/strong> and <strong>WWF<\/strong>, also with diplomatic missions it is Italy&#8217;s ambassador to the world.<\/p>\n<p>The Americans are right, <strong>Nave<\/strong> <strong>Vespucci <\/strong>is indeed the most beautiful ship in the world. All-Italian excellence encapsulated in its motto: <strong><em>&#8220;Not he who begins but that which perseveres&#8221;<\/em><\/strong> and <strong>Toto Holding<\/strong> is proud of a partnership
