These magnificent animals are part of “<\/strong>Italy’s Big Five,” the five distinctive champions of Italian wildlife that live in their natural environment in the mountains<\/strong>, valleys<\/strong> and beech forests of Abruzzo<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

While Oct. 4 is the feast of St. Francis of Assisi<\/strong> and is the day on which World Animal Day<\/strong> is also held, until Oct. 6<\/strong> as part of the events and initiatives of “Living the Park<\/strong>,” and especially in the area between Pescasseroli<\/strong>, Villetta<\/strong> Barrea<\/strong> and Barrea<\/strong>, the Pnalm<\/strong> and Wildlife Adventures<\/strong> are offering days that will unfold through hikes<\/strong> and sessions of wildlife watching<\/strong> with The long road to conservation<\/em><\/strong>, Herbal aromas<\/em><\/strong>, Howling in the twilight<\/em><\/strong>, Return to the great wild spaces .<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Real paths of contact with Nature and people, experiences that are good for the body and soul as summarized masterfully by Wildlife Adventures: “Together with one of the best nature guides we will explore the wilderness of the Apennines, following the tracks of big animals and learning how to move properly in the field. Our focus will be particularly on the search for bears and wolves, but we will not neglect direct observation of chamois, deer, wild boar, griffon vultures, and golden eagles. The long days in the field will end with the tasty dishes of Italian cuisine, a bottle of good wine, sharing the welcome and atmosphere of the characteristic mountain villages <\/em> characterized by the traditional lifestyle of local communities that offer a special mix of culture and nature such that makes this area still unique in Europe<\/em>.”<\/p>\n
