Guidelines for employees and contractors

Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. is supportive of its employees’ use of social media, knowing that today each of us is, first and foremost, a person who likes to communicate freely within our relational ecosystem by taking advantage of the continuous advances in technology.
Precisely because of this awareness, Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. has seen fit to develop a set of guidelines that-with full respect for personal freedoms-offers its employees a reference map with respect to the potential, but also the risks, of using social media.
In summary:
a) In the world of social media, often no distinction is made between private and professional profiles. This should be considered a serious mistake, of which it is essential to be aware. Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. respects the freedom of expression of all its employees but it is important to remember that anyone can have access to online content;
b) Everyone is therefore personally responsible for what they post on their social profiles. Common sense, balance and respect are the fundamental rules for every action;
c) Any comment or post regarding one’s work sphere cannot be separated from a sense of responsibility and respect for the code of ethical conduct adopted by Strada dei Parchi S.p.A;
d) Information regarding Strada dei Parchi S.p.A., whatever its nature (organizational, commercial, strategic, financial, design, etc., etc.) is covered by total confidentiality. Therefore, it is not allowed to disclose any company information, in any form (written, multimedia, etc. etc.) and by any means including through the use of social media and even if the information is addressed to closed or pseudo closed groups;
e) When negative posts or comments are read on social channels by users regarding the institutional activity of Strada dei Parchi S.p.A., it is preferable that direct interlocutions be avoided by employees and collaborators limiting themselves, if anything, to reporting the relevant contents to the competent Organizational Units for the appropriate evaluations or in order to promote the appropriate legal initiatives, if deemed necessary;
f) When judgments and/or opinions on any subject are expressed through social media channels by an employee, he or she should always ensure that he or she is mindful of the distinction between the professional and private spheres. Where an employee’s comment should also relate to the professional sphere, he or she should specify his or her role in Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. specifically and correctly, and in any case make it clear that the opinions are strictly personal and not attributable to the company to which he or she belongs;
g) Any intervention must be formulated with respect for other people. In particular – if one is discussing in order to one’s own work environment – one must always have the utmost respect for colleagues and their privacy;
h) When one has a doubt about a post, regarding company issues present in a social media channel different from those managed by Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. one must avoid intervening. If anything, one should confront the company references in charge of communication;
i) It should be kept in mind that on the Grid, any “local” intervention can have “global” relevance;
(j) The social profile may represent, for many users, the only “identity card.”
(k) It should always be remembered that on the Net all content is permanent;
l) One must never forget one’s daily commitment: the activity on social media cannot and must not, in any way, interfere with one’s work activity, in particular, it is expressly forbidden to access social media through work tools and/or during working hours; on this point, should potential violations be reported, Strada dei Parchi S.p.A., may proceed disciplinarily, as well as may activate controls pursuant to the policies in force from time to time on the use of the internet and the access tools provided;
m) Even on social media, it will always be a duty to comply with laws and regulations regarding industrial property law, copyrights and trademarks. Strada dei Parchi S.p.A. reserves the right to monitor the use of social media, within the limits and in the forms provided by law, and to proceed with any protective actions aimed at protecting its image against possible misuse and/or not previously authorized.
