It will be all Corten steel and concrete for the new Genzano viaduct in the L’Aquila crater. The old one was completely demolished in recent weeks. And now in place of the old piles, new steel drums are installed on the ground. They are huge cylinders weighing 30 tons, which once fixed on the new foundations will be filled with concrete. They will be the ones supporting the all-steel viaduct with modern seismic dissipators on top. The goal is clear to make the A24 and A25 even safer and more resistant to earthquakes.
