Carmen Consoli between hits and previews at Avezzano Christmas Concert

Carmen Consoli is the star of the XXIV Christmas Concert at the Marsi Cathedral in Avezzano. With her unmistakable voice and unique style, the Catanian artist sings in the Marsica capital on Wednesday, Dec. 18, and again on Thursday, Dec. 19.

It begins at 8:30 p.m. with the first hour of the evening featuring a performance by Sherrita Duran. Together with her Gospel Choir, the California-based artist offers Praise be to God, a set of gospel, spiritual and Christmas songs.

In the next two hours, Carmen Consoli goes over the successes of her long career and for the occasion gives fans a treat: the new album Terra Ca Nun Senti, due out on December 20, is presented live in a special preview held only in Avezzano and London in agreement with the record company Warner.

During the performance, Carmen Consoli will be presented with the “Anna Luce” Lifetime Achievement Award, while proceeds from the event will be donated in agreement with Marsi Bishop Monsignor Giovanni Massaro to the “Casa Fratelli tutti”, a reception center for disadvantaged people which, moving from Pope Francis‘ warning, aims to be the local Church’s witness of love for those living in need.

Conceived and put together with the usual care by theHarmonia Novissima Cultural Association through the work of president Giuseppe Franceschini and artistic director Massimo Coccia, over the years the Christmas Concert in the Cathedral has become an event capable of combining culture, spirituality and good music thanks to the extraordinary participation of successful artists.
