For activities of the Extraordinary Commissioner for the Safety of the Gran Sasso Water System, the Assergi – Colledara/San Gabriele highway section in the direction of Teramo will be closed to traffic from 10 p.m. on June 8, 9, 10 and 11 until 5 a.m. on the following days.
On the days and times indicated above, vehicles coming from AQ/A25/RM and heading towards Teramo will have to exit the A24 at the Assergi Junction. For long-distance and heavy-duty vehicles heading to Teramo/Giulianova, we recommend using the alternative route consisting of the A25 Torano – Pescara freeway, continuing the journey on the A14 towards Ancona until the Giulianova/Teramo junction and, via the SS80 freeway, reaching Teramo; alternatively, it is advisable to exit the A24 highway via the L’Aquila Est junction, travel along the SS17 and SS153 (Piana di Navelli) until reaching the Bussi junction, enter the A25 and continue on the A14 towards A14 until the Giulianova junction and then reach Teramo via the SS80 freeway; further alternative route is as follows: exit the A24 freeway at the L’Aquila Ovest junction, take the SS80 to the Capannelle Pass, continue along the SS150 and enter the A24 freeway via the unmanned Basciano interchange. Please note that the SS80 to Valico delle Capannelle is affected by the presence of several construction sites with possible inconvenience.
