Single European emergency number 112 arrives in Abruzzo

The NUE – Single European Emergency Number 112 is also active in Abruzzo: an easy to remember and free number from any phone, fixed or mobile, even without credit or sim, which is a vital service for the safety of all citizens.

All calls to traditional emergency numbers (112, 118, 113, 115, and 1530) are redirected to the 112 Single Response Centre, which will connect Abruzzi residents with Carabinieri, State Police, Fire Brigade, Medical Rescue, and Port Authority within moments.

NUE is always on call, operating 24/7. It is vital to contact the NUE in case of fire, car accident, sickness, mistreatment, loss or theft; help will arrive after a few minutes.

Equally important, once the 112 Single Emergency Number has been contacted, is to remain calm-it is essential to clearly and accurately communicate the nature of the emergency. It is suggested to provide the operator with a detailed description of the emergency, the number of people involved and their condition. To facilitate emergency response, it is advisable to follow all instructions carefully.

Don’t be afraid to ask for help: call one-one-two.

The 112 number can also be accessed through the“Where ARE U” App dedicated to smartphones. The App allows you to immediately get in touch with the 112 Single Response Centre, even without speaking, even without providing your personal details and exact location: everything will happen automatically.

The numbers 118 113 115 and 1530 remain ACTIVE at all times.
