Rocca di Mezzo “infiorated” by 79th Narcissus Festival

Primavera Rocchigiana celebrates the awakening of Nature, and the protagonist is always him: the daffodil. This flower, which covers the meadows of theAltipiano delle Rocche plateau in May, is the first actor in the 79th edition of the Narcissus Festival in Rocca di Mezzo on Sunday 25.

As per tradition, on the last Sunday in May, the floats and floats covered in thousands of colorful flowers will be welcomed to Principe di Piemonte Square. This year there will be six floats in the parade and the six companies of carristi will seal the union of all the Rocche: in fact, in addition to the hosts of Rocca Di Mezzo, there will be the second participation of Ovindoli and the great return after a fifteen-year absence of Rocca di Cambio with the “I Mazzamurejje” company.

A busy three-day program is planned. It begins on Friday 23 at 9:30 a.m. with a gathering at the Citadel of Narcissus for flower picking. From the afternoon, however, flower balconies in the historic center can be admired.

Saturday 24 at 9:30 a.m. more daffodil picking then, at 7 p.m. there will be a chance to see the finishing touches on the floats. At 9:30 p.m. the actual flowering of the floats at the Citadel of Narcissus.

On Sunday 25 the festival will reach its highest point at 3 p.m. with the parade of floats arriving until 7 p.m. for the awards ceremony.

A three-day experience, a celebration during which nature, tradition, creativity and a spirit of cooperation will provide residents and tourists with many beautiful opportunities for conviviality to remember.
