A24: nighttime closures Gran Sasso Tunnel AQ/RM direction

As part of the measurestaken by the Special Commissioner for the Safety of the Gran Sasso Water System, the Colledara/San Gabriele section of the highway will be closed to traffic from 10:00 p.m. on July 6 and 7 until 5:00 a.m. on the following days – Assergi (Gran Sasso Tunnel) section of the highway will be closed to traffic, limited to the westbound lane heading toward L’Aquila/Rome.

On the days and at the times indicated above, vehicles coming from Teramo/Giulianova/A14 and heading toward L’Aquila/Rome must exit the A24 via the Colledara/San Gabriele interchange; Please note that the continuation of the route via State Road 80 is affected by roadwork, which may cause delays. Heavy vehicles heading to L’Aquila/Rome are advised to use the alternative route consisting of the southbound lanes of the A14 highway toward Bari until joining the A25 highway toward Rome; For travelers heading to L’Aquila, we recommend exiting the A25 highway at the Bussi/Popoli interchange and taking the SS153 (Piana di Navelli) toward L’Aquila.
