The concessionaire Strada dei Parchi announces that, for works related to the seismic upgrading of the Valle Aterno Viaduct, from 10 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 14, to 6 a.m. the following day, the section of the highway between the Tornimparte and L’Aquila Ovest interchanges will be closed to traffic in both directions.
Consequently, on the aforementioned days and times, vehicles coming from Rome/A25 and heading towards L’Aquila/Teramo will be required to exit the A24 freeway via the Tornimparte junction, while all vehicles coming from Teramo and heading towards the A25/RM will be required to exit the A24 freeway via the L’Aquila Ovest junction; for both routes, it is recommended to use the SS17 and the SP 1 Amiternina road to Villagrande to and from L’Aquila. In the circumstance, traffic at the hamlet of Villagrande will be managed under an alternating one-way system, using movers, by specially appointed personnel.
